Crock Pot Pork Roast
The fun thing about cooking meat is that with the addition of a few ingredients or spices, you can make the same dish taste different but delicious every time.
One traditional meal that can be altered for a new take is a crock pot pork roast. Many people prefer to cook a beef roast, but a pork roast can be just as or even better tasting.
One simple, low costing pork roast requires:
- 3-4 pound of pork roast
- salt and pepper for taste
- 1 cup of white cooking wine
- 1/4 fresh sage leaves
- 8 cloves of garlic
To start, rub the pork roast with salt and pepper to give the meat that initial taste. If you don’t want to personally mince your garlic, you can get jars of already minced garlic at your store. Now, put the roast, sage, garlic and wine in the crock pot and cook it on low for 10 hours or high for 5 to 6 hours.
Once the time is up the roast should be ready to serve. For those who have experience making crock pot beef roast, the pork roast can come out a little more dry than one may be used to, but you can use a sauce to fix that.
